In his first three years in office, he led the responses to public health emergencies like the West Nile Virus epidemic, Ebola crisis, and natural disaster recovery from deadly tornadoes and flooding. 

Beginning in early 2020, Judge Lewis Jenkins spent much of his time responding to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

In this term, Judge Lewis Jenkins is committed to improving access to mental health treatment.
